Create markers in the Effect Controls panel

Learn how to add markers to your sequence to specify where you want to place effects using Adobe Premiere Pro.

In the Effect Controls panel, you can view all the markers you created in the Timeline panel, add new markers to indicate the placement of effects, and create and manipulate markers.

Note:

Before you begin Create a project or open an existing one and add the sequence in the timeline.

  1. Drag the playhead to the point where you would like to add the marker.
  2. Right-click (Windows) or Control-click (macOS) in the timeline ruler.
  3. Select Add Marker.

Result

Markers are added on the points where you want to add markers and you can use these markers for various purposes such as adding comments, creating transitions, and create cue points for effects.
