Error code 199: Unable to launch product automatically

Error code 199: Unable to launch product automatically

Error code 199 indicates that the app cannot launch automatically. This error primarily occurs in Photoshop Elements and Premiere Elements.

Solution

  1. Go to Control Panel > Programs > Uninstall a program.

  2. Uninstall the app. Make sure that the folder C:\Program Files\Adobe doesn't contain any files or folders for the app. 

  3. Go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe, and then rename Adobe Desktop Common to Adobe Desktop Common.old.

  4. Reinstall the app.

Alternatively, you can uninstall the older version of the app, and then install the latest version.
