    Error code 8: Failed to correct Adobe Genuine Service plist owner

    Error code 8 indicates that gccustomhook failed to correct the permissions of the Adobe Genuine Service plist.

    The location of plist is as follows: 

    macOS: /Library/LaunchDaemons/com.adobe.agsservice.plist

    Solution

    The permissions of the plist can be set manually. Follow the following steps to fix the error:

    1. Open Terminal and run the following command: sudo chmod 755 /Library/LaunchDaemons/com.adobe.agsservice.plist

    2. Restart the device. The plist loads automatically and starts the Adobe Genuine Service.
