    Error code 3: Verification of Adobe Genuine Service in AdobeGenuineClient package failed

    Error code 3 indicates that the AGSService binary inside the AdobeGenuineClient folder failed a signature check. The folder is present inside the Adobe Desktop Common folder of the Creative Cloud desktop app.

    The location of the AdobeGenuineClient folder is as follows:

    • Windows: C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe\Adobe Desktop Common\AdobeGenuineClient
    • macOS: /Library/Application Support/Adobe/Adobe Desktop Common/AdobeGenuineClient

    Solution

    Select Check for Updates from the Creative Cloud desktop app Help menu. The Creative Cloud desktop app automatically rectifies the AGSService binary after the update.
