    Error code 2: AdobeGenuineClient package broken

    Error code 2:  AdobeGenuineClient package broken

    Error code 2 indicates that some files inside the AdobeGenuineClient folder were missing. The folder is present inside the Adobe Desktop Common folder of the Creative Cloud desktop app.

    The location of AdobeGenuineClient folder is as follows:

    • Windows: C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe\Adobe Desktop Common\AdobeGenuineClient
    • macOS: /Library/Application Support/Adobe/Adobe Desktop Common/AdobeGenuineClient

    Solution

    Select Check for Updates from the Creative Cloud desktop app Help menu. The Creative Cloud desktop app automatically rectifies any broken files in the AdobeGenuineClient folder.
