Learn about panels in Firefly video editor and how they help you organize, edit, and fine-tune your project with ease.
When working with the Firefly video editor, you can access multiple panels to work with media files, text components, and media properties. Each of these panels is designed to help you organize, edit, and fine-tune your project.
In the Firefly video editor, you can work with the following panels:
The Viewer is located at the center of the editor and displays the content of your timeline as you edit. It provides a real-time preview of your video, allowing you to see how your clips, edits, and effects come together. Beyond previewing, the Viewer also lets you interact directly with your visuals to make precise adjustments, such as editing text overlays. Using this panel, you can:
- Zoom in or out for detailed or full-frame views
- Adjust specific areas of a clip for more precise visual edits

In the timeline, each layer can be a video, image, or text. When you select a layer, the Properties panel automatically activates based on the layer type.
