In Captivate Classic 9.0.2, you can import assets (video, image, templates, and so on) from Adobe Stock and eLearning Brothers.
To view existing assets, click Assets in the main toolbar. The following screen displays:
My Assets
This section displays all downloaded assets including Captivate Classic themes and templates, images, and videos. Choose the respective asset group to view the available assets.
Importing assets from Adobe Stock
To import assets from Adobe Stock, click Get Adobe Stock Assets.
Search for an asset and from the list of assets, perform either of the following:
- License the asset
- Download the asset with watermark
- Find similar assets
If you want to save a watermarked image, click Save Preview to Computer. The image is downloaded into the Assets folder.
Click My Assets > Media to use the asset in your project.
To import a video asset from Adobe Stock, click Video and search for the required asset.
Download the asset to the Assets folder and use the asset in your project. To use the asset, click My Asset > Media, select the video asset, and click Insert.
In Adobe Stock, the videos are in HD or 4k formats.
To use a video in your project, use the Adobe Media Encoder (AME) to convert the video asset to MP4 file. When you click Insert, you can see a dialog box that prompts you to convert the video using AME.
Captivate Classic does not support 4K video formats. You cannot download a 4k video.
To start the conversion, click Yes. When you click Yes, AME starts converting the MOV video to MP4.
Once AME converts the video, you can use the asset from My Asset > Media.
Once AME converts the video, you can use the video by clicking Go from the Progress Indicator Panel within Captivate Classic.
Importing assets from eLearning Brothers
To import assets from eLearning Brothers, click Get Free eLearning Assets.
To download any asset, choose the required category from the page.
To download a Captivate Classic theme, click Themes. From the list of available themes, choose any theme and click Download.
The cptm file is copied to the Assets folder.
To use the asset, click My Assets > Themes, and choose the downloaded theme to use in your project.
To download a character from eLearning Brothers, click Cutout People and choose any category.
Choose any character from the list.
Download an image from the selected character.
After you download the character, you can access it from the Assets folder.
Click My Asset > Characters to access the asset and use in your project.
