Apply colors to images

Add colors to images with the Brush tool.

Select Paint > Brush  .

Select Foreground color using the color picker. Then, choose the Foreground color that you’d like to use from the Wheel section.

Tip

You can further modify the attributes of the chosen color using the Sliders and Swatches.

Photoshop on iPhone canvas displays the highlighted Color picker, which is used to add the foreground color.

Select the checkmark   to save the foreground color.

Select the more menu   and choose from the following options as needed:

  • Brush type: Select the brush type for edits.
  • Size: Set the diameter of the brush.
  • Opacity: Control the maximum transparency of the color you apply per brush stroke.
  • Hardness: Control the sharpness of the brush edges.
  • Smoothing: Control the smoothness of brush strokes.
  • Roundness: Specify the ratio between the brush’s short and long axes.
  • Angle: Specify the angle by which an elliptical or sampled brush’s long axis is rotated from the horizontal.
  • Flow: Control the rate at which paint is applied as you move the brush.

Select and drag anywhere on the image to start painting.
