Multimedia study tools combine learning and creation, helping you review concepts, understand topics visually, and turn what you’ve learned into presentations. Create podcasts and presentations to study faster, learn on the go, and show your understanding with confidence.
Why use multimedia study tools
Multimedia study tools are ideal when you want to:
- Review content faster or on the go
- Learn through audio or visuals
- Collaborate with peers to co‑create and refine study materials
- Present collaboratively by turning shared study content into slides, without recreating work
Start with text‑based study tools to understand concepts, then switch to multimedia tools for review; your sources stay the same.
How to access the tools
You can access the multimedia tools from the Student Spaces homepage or from the Overview page within any Student Space. Add your material, choose a tool, and your generated outputs will appear in the Study Tools section, ready to use.

Podcast
Podcasts turn your study materials into audio summaries so you can review key concepts without needing to read text. Generated Podcast appears as a tile in the Study Tools section, so you can easily return to them anytime. Opening the Podcast tile launches the audio player.
Listening controls
- Play or pause audio as needed
- Skip forward or backward during playback
- Adjust playback speed to match your listening preference
- Control the volume for comfortable listening
You can show or hide the transcript ; as the audio plays, the corresponding text is highlighted in sync.
Use the More actions menu to rename, delete, or download your podcast. You can also provide feedback directly from the player using the Like or Dislike options.
Presentation
The Presentation tool turns your content into a structured slide deck, helping you organize ideas clearly and share them confidently.
How presentations are structured
- Presentations are created based on key inputs such as the intended audience, deck length, and a selected template.
- Each presentation includes an outline with a content summary for every slide, making it easy to understand the flow before presenting or sharing.
Ways you can refine the deck
- Edit slide content and summaries
- Delete or duplicate slides
- Reorder slides by dragging them
- Add new slides as needed
Customization and enhancements
- Change themes and apply branding
- Insert media such as photos or music
- Use AI-powered tools to further refine content and design
How presentations can be shared
- Present directly from Student Spaces
- Download the deck in formats such as PPT, PDF, JPEG, PNG, or individual PDF files
