Learn how to apply presets by adjusting the settings that best fit your editing image.

Lightroom on the web comes with built-in presets, but you can also create and share your own presets or find and add them from a community of photographers.

On the Lightroom on the web homepage, select PhotosAll Photos.

Select an image to open it in Detail view, and then select Presets .

In the Presets panel, select one of the following categories:

  • Recommended: Generates presets based on your photo using Adobe Sensei and adapts over time as the AI learns. Use the Category drop-down options like SubtleStrongB&WCoolWarmDarkBrightCinematic, and HDR to filter by style and intensity.

  • Premium: Provides curated presets updated with each Lightroom release, including:
    • Adaptive: Applies intelligent adjustments for PortraitSkySubjectLandscape, and Blur Background.
    • Portraits: Enhances people's photos with options like Deep SkinMedium SkinLight SkinBlack & WhiteEdgy, and Group.
    • Auto+: Applies a Retro style look with enhanced automatic adjustments and offers multiple variations.
    • Seasons: Applies seasonal tones with presets like SpringSummerAutumn, and Winter.
    • Style: Applies creative looks such as Black & WhiteCinematicCinematic IIFilm-InspiredFuturistic, and Vintage.
    • Subject: Applies themed looks to photos with groups like ConcertsFoodLandscapeLifestyleTravelTravel II, and Urban Architecture.
    • Video: Applies Creative presets optimized specifically for video editing.
  • Yours: Displays presets you created or saved for quick access.

Note

Starting with the April 2026 release of Lightroom on the web, the Style category in Premium presets includes a Style: Film-Inspired preset group with multiple variations (Warm Gold, Rich Gold, Warm B&W, Soft Ember, Strong Ember, Muted B&W, Faded Blue, Deep Blue, Cool B&W, Light Sage, Deep Sage, and Bold B&W) to add moody textures, rich contrast, soft shades, or nostalgic warmth in your images. 

Tip

In Recommended presets, hover over the preset thumbnail and select More like this to view similar presets. You can also select the More menu   in the thumbnail to view who the preset is from and follow the author.

Browse the preset groups within your selected category, and then select a preset variation.

Use the Amount slider to adjust the intensity of the preset. You can start from 0 and go up to 200.
