Error 304 causes installation failure

Learn how to resolve error code 304 "The installation is no longer functional" during Adobe app installation.

Creative Cloud desktop app is missing or outdated

Go to the Creative Cloud download page. Your download will begin automatically.

The How to install Creative Cloud page shows the steps to install Creative Cloud desktop app, and options to restart download and get help.
If the download doesn't start, select Restart download to try again.

If it doesn’t start, select Restart download.

Double-click the downloaded file to begin installation:

  • macOS: Creative_Cloud_Installer.dmg
  • Windows: Creative_Cloud_Set-Up.exe

Follow the on-screen instructions to complete your installation.

Note

The Creative Cloud desktop app always installs in the default location. You cannot choose a different folder or drive. 

Digital Signature Certificate is missing

If updating the Creative Cloud desktop app doesn't resolve the issue, install the required digital certificates manually.

Extract the downloaded files.

Install them into the Trusted Root Certification Authorities store.

Try installing or updating your app again.
