The AI-powered Assisted Culling in Lightroom Classic lets you efficiently organize photo collections and folders by identifying the best images, removing low-quality photos, and making editing adjustments. You can cull your pictures at the time of import and use the feature for albums already available in Lightroom Classic.

Before you begin:

Select Catalog Settings > Metadata > Assisted Culling to turn on the Assisted Culling feature. Alternatively, select the drop-down in the Identity Plate and play the Auto Analysis to access Assisted Culling

  1. In the Library module, select a collection or a folder.

  2. Once the analysis is completed, in the Assisted Culling panel, select the following from the Select section:

    • Subject Focus: Selects photos with the subject in focus. Drag the slider to adjust the subject focus threshold.
    • Eye Focus: Selects photos with the eyes in focus. Drag the slider to adjust the eye focus threshold.
      • Select only photos with people's eyes detected: Selects photos where Lightroom Classic detects one or more people's eyes.
    • Eyes Open: Selects photos with open eyes.
