Learn how to add Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator files as linked images and edit the images in Adobe Express.

Add as linked images

  1. Open a design in the Adobe Express editor.

  2. Navigate to Your stuff > Files.

  3. Select a Photoshop or Illustrator file and drag it into the editor.

Edit linked assets

  1. Select the linked asset, then select Open in Illustrator or Open in Photoshop, in the Linked Asset panel to launch the application, depending on your file type.

     Screen shows the editor workflow open in Adobe Express with "Open in Photoshop" under "Linked Asset" highlighted. Selecting "Open in" launches the file on the editor.
    Select Open in Illustrator or Open in Photoshop under Linked Asset to launch the appropriate program.

  2. Modify and save changes in Adobe Photoshop or Illustrator, then navigate to Adobe Express. You'll see the message Your linked assets have changed on your screen. Select Update to apply the changes to the image.

  3. Select Download to save the image to your device or Share it with your online audience.
