Draw with the Quick Pen (Beta) tool
Learn how to draw and edit lines, curves, and arcs using the Quick Pen (Beta) tool.
Use new Beta features
Quick Pen tool (beta) is available for testing and feedback. Try it now in Illustrator on the web (beta).

Click anywhere on the canvas to set the start point, and then select the actions in the toolbar based on the path you want to draw:
- Straight line : Click or drag anywhere on the canvas to draw lines.
- Continuous arc : Click or drag anywhere on the canvas to draw smooth curves or arcs.
- Sharp corner arc : Click or drag anywhere on the canvas to draw arcs.
- Flip arc : Select to flip the side of the sharp-cornered arc you drew.
- More menu : Access options including Hide toolbar, Reset toolbar position, and more using this menu.

To increase or decrease the line or arc length, drag the icon from the start or end point of the path.

Drag the anchor points or the path to edit the object.

To remove a path, select the anchor points and right-click on the canvas using the Quick Pen (Beta) tool. Then, select Delete.
To move the toolbar, place the cursor on the left side of the Quick Pen toolbar and then drag it when the pointer changes to the hand icon.
To continue drawing from a path's start or end point, press Esc and then select the beginning or end point of the path with the Quick Pen (Beta) tool.
