Using fonts from Adobe Fonts in Creative Cloud apps

Learn how to add multiple fonts using the Creative Cloud desktop app to use them in your desktop apps and on websites.

Your Creative Cloud subscription includes Adobe Fonts, which offers thousands of fonts from hundreds of type foundries. You can activate the fonts and use them in your desktop applications, all Creative Cloud applications, and websites.

Get started

Browse and activate fonts using Creative Cloud desktop app. If the app is not installed, download and install it. Make sure that Adobe Fonts is enabled in Services.

Windows(   > File > Preferences > Services > Adobe Fonts).

Mac OS: (Creative Cloud > Preferences > Services > Adobe Fonts).

Browse and activate fonts

  1. Go to the Fonts icon and select Browse more fonts. A browser window will open, and you will be signed in to Adobe Fonts.

  2. Search the font or scroll down to view the list of available fonts. You can refine the search using Language and Writing Systems, Tags, Classification, or Properties filters.

  3. Once you find the font, select Add Family to activate the whole font family. From the font family page, you can also choose the font name and activate individual font weights or styles.

  4. To activate the Font, open the Creative Cloud desktop, select , and then select   Install Family.

    Note:

    The activated fonts are listed in the Fonts tab in Creative Cloud desktop app.

Use active fonts

Open the font list in your desktop application to use the fonts you've activated. Some desktop applications, like Microsoft Word, may require a restart after activating a new font.

Deactivate fonts

  1. In the Adobe Creative Cloud desktop app, select the Fonts  icon. The Added Fonts page opens in a browser window. You can also log in to Adobe Fonts and go directly to your Manage Fonts page.

  2. To the right of any font you want to delete, select    Remove family.

  3. Select Remove button to confirm the font removal.

Disable Adobe Fonts

Disabling Adobe Fonts will deactivate any activated fonts from your computer.

  1. Select     > FilePreferences > Services in the Creative Cloud desktop app (Windows).

    Select Creative Cloud > Preferences > Services in the Creative Cloud app (Mac OS).

  2. Deselect Adobe Fonts.

    The dialog box has a slide button that turns blue when enabled and gray when disabled. Slide the button to disable Adobe Fonts.
