Discover how to effortlessly locate tools, permissions, and preferences within an Adobe Connect room by utilizing the search function.
In Adobe Connect, users can easily find tools, permissions, and preferences within the room using the search function located in the top menu bar. The search shows up to five matching results. Selecting a search result launches the corresponding menu or dialog. The search can be accessed with the keyboard shortcut Alt + Q (Option + Q on macOS).
How to use Adobe Connect search

Select the search icon to search for tools or preferences. Select the search icon to search for tools or preferences. -
Type the option or setting you are looking for into the search field. As you type, the search results will update in real-time, displaying up to the top five matching actions.

Adobe Connect search limitations
- Search is only available to hosts. Participants and presenters cannot access the feature.
- Search is available for both on-premises and managed accounts, but only on desktop clients (browser and app).
- Search is currently not supported in the Adobe Connect mobile app.
- With the 12.9 release, only options listed in the top menu bar (except Pods) and Preferences dialogs are searchable. Tools and settings, which can be searched will be expanded in upcoming releases. For example, searching for "Mic" will show results from Mic options menu and Preferences dialog but searching for "Quiz" will not return any relevant results
- The maximum search text limit is 40 characters, and the minimum is three characters.
